NEW DELHI: Amid the demand for the removing of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s tomb from some right-wing outfits, the senior RSS chief Suresh ‘Bhaiyyaji’ Joshi dismissed the controversy on Monday, stating that the difficulty has been raised unnecessarily.Responding to queries about Raj Thackeray’s feedback and the difficulty of the Mughal emperor’s tomb, Joshi mentioned, ” The subject of Aurangzeb’s tomb has been raised unnecessarily. He died right here (in India), so his tomb has been constructed right here. Those that have religion will go.”

“We have Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj‘s adarsh (role model), he had built the tomb of Afzal Khan. This is a symbol of India’s generosity and inclusiveness. The tomb will remain, whoever wants to go will go,” the previous RSS basic secretary added.Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray criticised makes an attempt on Sunday to create communal discord over Aurangzeb’s tomb, emphasising that historic occasions shouldn’t be interpreted by way of non secular or caste views.He cautioned in opposition to counting on WhatsApp forwards for historic information.Thackeray famous that regardless of Aurangzeb’s makes an attempt to eradicate Shivaji’s ideology, he failed and in the end died in Maharashtra.The MNS chief referenced that Afzal Khan, the Bijapur basic, was interred close to Pratapgadh Fort with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s consent.Violence erupted in Nagpur earlier this month following claims a few “chadar” with sacred inscriptions being burnt throughout Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) protests demanding the tomb’s removing.Earlier this month, RSS chief spokesperson Sunil Ambekar characterised the Seventeenth-century Mughal emperor Aurangzeb as “irrelevant” however added the tomb challenge will not be irrelevant. Speaking to TOI, Ambekar mentioned, “The glorification of Aurangzeb should stop. The tomb issue is not irrelevant; Aurangzeb is.”
