Love him, hate him or haven’t any robust opinion on him, there must be one factor all of us agree on with regards to Shane Gillis:

He’s an equal alternative offender.

On Wednesday evening, the comic served as host of the 2025 ESPY Awards, utilizing the event to open the present with an epic monologue that took purpose at … principally anybody and everybody from the world of sports activities.

For instance, there was a bookie joke made on the expense of Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani, which Gillis then used to pivot to legendary soccer coach Invoice Belichick.

“A bookie is what Bill Belichick reads to his girlfriend before bedtime,” Gillis stated on stage, referring to the six-time Tremendous Bowl winner, 73, at the moment relationship a 24-year previous.

“They read, ‘Very horny caterpillar.’ ‘The Little Engine That Could But Needed A Pill First’ and of course, the classic, ‘Good Night Boobs.’”

The star wasn’t afraid to get political, both.

“Joe Rogan actually wanted me to be here to host this award show so that I could capture Adam Silver because Joe thinks he’s an alien,” Gillis quipped at one level. “And Donald Trump wanted me to be here to capture Juan Soto for the same reason.”

One attendee from the higher stage of the venue audibly booed this joke.

More often than not, Gillis centered his humor on numerous athletes.

There have been a number of strains, for instance, about WNBA famous person Caitlin Clark, because the host stated that he and the Fever sensation are related as a result of they’re “both whites from the Midwest who have nailed a bunch of 3s.”

That’s a fairly nice joke, in our opinion.

“When Caitlin Clark retires from the WNBA, she’s going to work at a Waffle House so she can continue doing what she loves most, fist fighting black women,” he added.

Elsewhere, Gillis poked enjoyable at Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the Jets and the longer term Professional Soccer Corridor of Famer’s reluctance to get vaccinated in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Aaron Rodgers did not take the vaccine because he predicted that it would be bad for him and then he joined the New York Jets. So maybe he wasn’t right about everything,” he stated.

There was no method Gillis couldn’t touch upon Donald Trump and the entire Epstein Information scandal, both.

“There was supposed to be an Epstein joke here, but it got deleted, must have probably deleted itself, right?” he joked. “Probably never existed. Actually. Let’s move on as a country and ignore that.”

Gillis wrapped up his monologue by referencing an previous Norm Macdonald joke that he used when he hosted the ESPYs — taking purpose at O.J. Simpson within the course of.

“Travis Hunter won the Heisman Trophy this year,” he started.

”He’s the primary defensive participant since Charles Woodson to win the Heisman. Congratulations, Travis Hunter, profitable the Heisman, that’s one thing they’ll by no means take away from you. Except you kill your spouse and a waiter, during which case, they’ll take that away from you.”

Superb.
