Salad and Go stated it’s closing 41 shops to concentrate on strengthening operations within the Dallas metro space and Oklahoma.

The corporate will shut down all places in Houston, Austin and San Antonio, in addition to some within the Dallas metro space and Oklahoma.

“Our presence in Texas will remain strong in Dallas. We are reducing our footprint in Houston, Austin and San Antonio to allow us to focus on strengthening the Dallas Metro Area and Oklahoma,” Salad and Go CEO Mike Tattersfield stated in a press release. “We continue to believe in the Texas market and its long-term potential.”

The Dallas-based chain will proceed to function all present shops within the metropolis, in addition to Tucson, Arizona, and Las Vegas.

“Concentrating our efforts will allow us to strengthen the brand and invest more in improving quality, driving innovation and building community,” Tattersfield stated.

Salad and Go operates greater than 140 company-owned shops throughout Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Nevada, all of that are drive-through and grab-and-go solely. Along with salads, its menu contains wraps, soup, drinks and breakfast burritos and bowls.

Tattersfield, who took over as chief government in late April and have become a minority proprietor, stated in an interview that the corporate could have a “much more disciplined growth rate.”

“We really need to leverage the product aspect of our kitchens and be really innovative on things that our customers are asking us for,” he informed QSR journal in Could, simply weeks into his new position. “They constantly ask us, ‘You should try this, you should try that.’ I think we should listen and make sure to see we can scale those things.”
