FIRST ON FOX: Newly sworn-in Secretary of State Marco Rubio is advising his division to stop refugee resettlement operations and start ramping up vetting of visas from sure areas in response to govt orders from President Donald Trump. 

He additionally ordered the division to implement enhanced vetting for visa functions from “dangerous regions.” 

The secretary cited new govt orders signed by Trump after his inauguration Monday.

Immigration was a high marketing campaign precedence for Trump through the 2024 election. 

In his inaugural deal with Monday, Trump promised, “I will declare a national emergency at our southern border. All illegal entry will immediately be halted. And we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came. We will reinstate my Remain in Mexico policy. I will end the practice of catch and release. And I will send troops to the southern border to repel the disastrous invasion of our country.”
