ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Dozens of households at an Altamonte Springs condo complicated had been informed to get out of their houses Thursday due to city-ordered development.

Tenants in Buildings 3 and 6 on the Altamonte Terrace Flats on Douglas Avenue obtained the letter from administration on Wednesday afternoon, notifying them they need to vacate by Friday at midday.

“I’m a disabled 60-year-old woman with two daughters that work,” mentioned tenant Amaryllis Delgado. “One goes to school and a granddaughter who is only seven. So we’re gonna be in the street now.”

Many residents say they simply paid lease and stay on a hard and fast earnings.

“I don’t know anybody that can put together the money to pack up everything with children at all and be gone in two days,” mentioned tenant Steven Matthews.

However not everybody believes that plan will work.

“How you gonna put all these people up? There is no way,” Delgado mentioned. “I don’t care how many apartments they say are empty. They should’ve fixed what they had to fix when they needed to fix it.”

A number of residents imagine the buildings had been closed or condemned attributable to roof injury, however property administration didn’t clarify why the repairs are occurring.

“A number of the tenants at Altamonte Terrace will probably be quickly relocated to the lodge for a number of weeks whereas there’s some development at no extra price to them.

“Our first concern is the protection of the tenants through the development.

“We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this temporary process.”
