First-time MLA Rekha Gupta at the moment took oath because the fourth lady chief minister of Delhi, days after the Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) returned to energy within the nationwide capital after over 26 years, ending the 10-year rule of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Get together (AAP). The grand ceremony was held on the iconic Ramlila floor and was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of 20 states, and different senior BJP leaders and employees.

PM Modi stated Ms Gupta, 50, has risen from the grassroots and expressed confidence that she’s going to work for the town’s growth with full vigour.

“My best wishes to her for a fruitful tenure,” he posted on X after the ceremony.

Rekha Gupta is the fourth lady chief minister of the capital after Sushma Swaraj (BJP), Sheila Dikshit (Congress) and Atishi (AAP). In addition to her, six newly elected MLAs — Parvesh Verma, Kapil Mishra, Ashish Sood, Pankaj Singh, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Ravinder Indraj — additionally took oath as members of the brand new Council of Ministers.
