A brand new report compares meals at restaurant chains throughout the U.S., noting which meals comprise excessive energy, fats and sodium, contributing to “higher risks of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.” 

The U.S. Meals & Drug Administration (FDA) web site says “2,000 calories a day is used as a general guide for nutrition advice, but your calorie needs may be higher or lower depending on your age, sex, height, weight, and physical activity level.”

Right here is how common fast-food chains ranked, with No. 1 being the unhealthiest, based on WorldAtlas.

1. Wendy’s

3. Taco Bell

6. Quiznos 

Twelve-inch traditional Italian sandwiches on the toasted sub chain have about 1,300 energy and a couple of,850 milligrams of sodium with none sides.

8. Smashburger

A big BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger at this chain with 200 shops throughout the U.S. has about 1,050 energy and 28 grams of saturated fats. Including an Oreo shake? That’s one other 930 energy.

9. Little Caesars

Those that select the $5 Sizzling-N-Prepared pepperoni pizza eat 2,140 energy and 4,260 milligrams of sodium.

“The calorie count stated in the study is for an entire pizza, not for a typical portion size for one person,” Little Caesars mentioned in an announcement to FOX Enterprise. “In fact, a slice of a large Little Caesars Classic Pepperoni Pizza has a lower calorie count than all other major US pizza chains.”

10. Chick-fil-A
