Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy predicted that it might be Congress chief Rahul Gandhi who would unseat Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom neither Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) nor former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee might take away from the Prime Minister’s chair.

“Rahul Gandhi will do it in the next elections,” he declared whereas talking at a conclave on “Constitutional Challenges: Perspectives and Pathways”, organised by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Saturday (August 2, 2025).

Referring to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s claims, Mr. Reddy identified that even the MP admitted BJP wouldn’t win greater than 150 seats with out Modi. “He should note it in his diary: in the next election, under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, Congress will ensure BJP doesn’t cross 150 seats,” he asserted.

Mr. Reddy known as upon all Congress staff and supporters to affix the battle to unseat Mr. Modi and defend the Structure. “We are fighting to bring social justice for OBCs, to ensure 42% reservations, and to conduct caste census across the country,” he stated.

He recalled that throughout the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi had promised a caste census in Telangana. “As a result, the people of Telangana opened their hearts for him. We kept that promise and conducted the caste census in Telangana. We gave the nation the Telangana model,” he stated.

Stating that sacrifice was within the DNA of the Gandhi household, Mr. Reddy recalled how former Congress president Sonia Gandhi refused the Prime Minister’s put up in 2004. She selected a tall chief like Manmohan Singh. “Even when offered the post of President, she stepped aside and endorsed Pranab Mukherjee,” he stated.

Mr. Reddy reminded the viewers that the Congress Celebration’s affiliation with India was the oldest, main the Indian Independence battle.
