London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed Saturday that they’re supporting the household of 31-year-old Edward Pettifer, together with serving to them by the method of returning his physique to the U.Ok. Pettifer was from west London.

In a press release on social media, the Prince of Wales mentioned he and his spouse, Catherine, had been “shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettifer. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Pettifer family and all those innocent people who have been tragically impacted by this horrific attack.”

Pettifer was the stepson of Tiggy Legge-Bourke, who was the nanny for each William and his brother, Prince Harry, between 1993 and 1999, which included time after the demise of their mom Princess Diana in 1997. Legge-Bourke, who’s also called Alexandra Pettifer, was often photographed with Diana.

“We will all miss him terribly. Our thoughts are with the other families who have lost their family members due to this terrible attack,” the household added.

The U.Ok.’s International Workplace additionally mentioned it was supporting Pettifer’s household and was involved with U.S. authorities.

Authorities say 14 individuals had been killed and about 30 had been injured within the assault early Wednesday by Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a former Military soldier who posted a number of movies on his Fb hours earlier than the assault previewing the violence he would unleash and proclaiming his help for the Islamic State militant group. The coroner’s workplace listed the reason for demise for all 14 victims as “blunt force injuries.”

Jabbar, 42, was fatally shot in a firefight with police on the scene of the lethal crash on Bourbon Road, well-known worldwide for its festive vibes in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter.
