Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday continued his tirade in opposition to Congress MP from Jorhat, Gaurav Gogoi, and claimed that the latter is a “Pakistani agent, planted by a foreign power”.

The Assam Chief Minister has repeatedly focused Gogoi and his spouse, Elizabeth Coulburn, previously over alleged hyperlinks with Pakistan. In September, Sarma claimed that the SIT probing the alleged Pakistani hyperlinks of the Gogoi household had uncovered “startling facts” suggesting a bigger conspiracy to “undermine India’s sovereignty.”

Gogoi, the Deputy Chief of the Congress in Lok Sabha, had earlier claimed that the allegations levelled by the CM have been like a “C-grade Bollywood film”, which goes to flop because the folks of Assam perceive every part.
