BJP swept native elections in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. PM Modi and Amit Shah thanked voters. Congress alleged unfair cancellation of opposition nominations.

After the landslide victory of the BJP within the native elections within the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the occasion staff saying that the individuals have a “strong connection” with the occasion’s improvement agenda.
PM Modi shared a publish on X, expressing gratitude in direction of the elections. “Gratitude to my sisters and brothers of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu for blessing BJP with phenomenal support in the Sarpanch, District Panchayat and Councillor elections held across the UT.”

Union Residence Minister Amit Shah thanked the individuals for displaying their religion within the BJP.
“Extending heartfelt thanks to the people of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu for the massive faith shown in the BJP in the Sarpanch, District Panchayat, and Councillor elections. Your support reflects trust in the BJP’s commitment to progress. Congratulations to our dedicated Karyakartas for their tireless efforts,” he wrote on X.
Based on the small print of the outcomes shared by the BJP Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, on its social media deal with X, the BJP gained 15 out of 16 villages within the Daman district Sarpanch elections, 15 out of 16 seats in Daman District Panchayat elections, and 14 out of 15 wards for the Municipal Council polls in Daman.
In Diu, the BJP swept the elections, successful each the Panchayat seats within the Sarpanch elections and all eight wards within the District Panchayat polls.
In Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the occasion gained 16 out of 26 Panchayats within the Sarpanch polls, 24 out of 26 wards in District Panchayat polls and all 15 wards within the Municipal Council elections.
The polling for the Panchayat and Municipal Council elections was held on November 5.
In the meantime, the Congress accused the BJP of “stealing the election,” alleging that nominations of a number of Opposition candidates had been unfairly cancelled.
The occasion alleged that within the Silvassa Municipal Company election (Dadra and Nagar Haveli), eight of their candidates’ nominations had been cancelled, whereas 13 had been cancelled within the district panchayat polls.
Congress wrote on X, “Open ‘election theft’ has taken place blatantly in the municipal corporation and panchayat elections of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The Election Commission and the BJP have conspired to cancel the nominations of Congress and opposition candidates.”
“In the Silvassa Municipal Corporation election, 12 candidates from Congress filed forms, out of which 8 forms were cancelled. Similarly, in the district panchayat election, 21 forms were filed, out of which 13 forms were cancelled. The key point is that all these forms were filled in a way after sitting with the legal team. Even after that, nominations were deliberately cancelled,” the occasion added.
