SRINAGAR: Congress skipped alliance MLAs’ assembly convened by Nationwide Convention (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar Wednesday to debate key legislative points on the eve of the J&Okay meeting session.“The way NC has treated us has shaken our trust in the alliance. After a long meeting today, we have written to the party high for guidance… We are also unhappy about ‘unsafe’ Rajya Sabha seat allocation,” Congress’ J&Okay unit chief Tariq Ahmad Karra mentioned. He didn’t make clear whether or not Congress will take part within the Oct 24 Rajya Sabha elections for 4 seats in J&Okay meeting — the primary for the reason that abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.Congress had sought a protected seat, however NC pushed it to an unsafe “fourth” seat, prompting the celebration to withdraw from the Rajya Sabha contest because it feared defeat in J&Okay would give BJP benefit on the nationwide stage, particularly when Bihar polls are not far away.
