Home Speaker Mike Johnson did an about-face on Monday, expressing his uncertainty in regards to the “terminology” he used final week when he claimed that intercourse scandal-plagued President Donald Trump was “an FBI informant” working to take down Jeffrey Epstein.

“What I used to be referring to, in that lengthy dialog, was what the victims’ lawyer stated,” Johnson advised CNN’s Manu Raju.

Johnson then insisted that Epstein and Trump’s falling out stemmed from Epstein’s alleged abuse and intercourse trafficking of minors, at which level Trump supposedly performed a job within the FBI’s takedown of Epstein.

“The president was helpful in that. I don’t know if I used the right terminology, but that’s common knowledge, and everybody knows that. So this is much ado about nothing,” he added.

It has been broadly reported that Trump and Epstein’s falling out had extra to do with damage emotions relating to actual property. And extra just lately, Trump claimed that the dissolution of their friendship was as a result of Epstein poaching former Mar-a-Lago spa worker Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide in April.

Johnson has grown more and more uncomfortable when questioned in regards to the Trump administration’s refusal to launch the long-promised Epstein information. 

Final week, he slithered round questions on holding a vote on the discharge of the paperwork after a bunch of Epstein survivors held a press convention on Capitol Hill demanding motion. 

Whereas Johnson is telling those who Trump is a few type of billionaire Batman combating intercourse crimes, Trump is asking the whole investigation a “hoax,” blaming everybody from Hillary Clinton to Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama.
