Pune rural police registered a case towards NCP’s Sunil Shelke, sitting MLA from Maharashtra’s Maval meeting constituency, on cost of violating the mannequin code of conduct throughout his election rally in Lonavla on Saturday. That is the second ballot code violation case towards Shelke inside 4 days. The MLA was given the nod to marketing campaign in and round Lonavla from 9am to 5pm. “The route, timings and area of the campaign rally were specifically mentioned in the permission,” police stated. “But his supporters headed towards the temple in Bhangarwadi. Our team on bandobast duty told them not to change the route as Independent candidate Bapu Bhegade and his supporters were there, and their action might cause a law and order situation. But they did not stop,” he stated. Shelke and his 18 supporters had been booked below BNS sections 352 (intentional insult with the intent to impress a breach of peace), 3(5) [common intention] and 223 (disobedience to order promulgated by official).
