Dorothy Lee Harris Betonte, 100, of Bridgeport handed away on Monday, October 20, 2025.
She was born in Nutter Fort on September 6, 1925, a daughter of the late Thomas and Dessie Morris Harris.
She was married to Lewis Betonte whom she married in March, 1946 and who preceded her in dying in 1986.
Surviving are one son, Anthony Lewis Betonte and his spouse Hilde of Bridgeport; 38 grandchildren and nice grandchildren, Christannia, Soren, Kimberly, Lisa, Carlos, Steve, Jason, Ryan, Derrick, Kelliann, Timothy, Justina, Jennifer, Dane, Anthony, Trey, Sydney, Mark, Tracey, Shelley, Brandon, Hayley, Tara, Tommy, Randy, Jackie, David, Kimberly, Sydney Paige, Matthew, Lory, Matthew T., Donald, Tomisha, Myzhara, Cazira, Heather, and Andrew; and three sisters, Margaret Smith of Palm Metropolis, FL, Clarice Jenkins and her husband Harry of Stonewood and Linda Linger of Clarksburg.
She was additionally preceded in dying by 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Wesley, Valinda and David; one brother, Lawrence Harris; and two sisters, Betty Hardman and Goldie Grey.
Mrs. Betonte was a graduate of Misplaced Creek Excessive College and was the proprietor and operator of High quality Meals in Nutter Fort.
Dorothy acquired her ‘determination’ in life by beginning work with the phone firm. From there she met the love of her life Lewis Betonte and began a feed retailer in Nutter Fort.
