LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Maumelle Police Division (MPD) introduced the passing of certainly one of their officers on Saturday.
Officers said that Officer Christopher Michael Stroud had misplaced his battle with most cancers after serving 26 years with the division.
“As a School Resource Officer, Officer Stroud dedicated himself to creating a safe, supportive environment for students and staff,” stated Maumelle Police Chief Cory Pickard. “He was more than a law enforcement presence, he was a mentor, a role model, and a steady source of encouragement for young people, navigating some of the most formative years of their lives. Officer Stroud built genuine relationships based on trust and respect, and his influence reached far beyond the walls of the school.”
Officer Stroud began his profession with MPD on March 29, 1999, as a Jailer/Dispatcher earlier than changing into a licensed police officer, based on the division.
MPD stated he would serve within the Patrol Division and the Legal Investigation Division earlier than spending the final 14 years as a Faculty Useful resource Officer on the Maumelle Excessive Faculty.
