Longtime Worker with Bureau of Emergency Providers, Paul Rasmussen Passes Away at 54

Paul E. Rasmussen, 54, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, handed away on April 23, 2025, in Morgantown, West Virginia. Born in Ohio on July 15, 1970, Paul devoted his life to serving others and making his neighborhood a safer place.

 

After graduating highschool, Paul moved to Lodi, California, the place he started his first job working for his uncle at Precision Intricast, Inc., an orthotics firm. His dedication to service and take care of others would proceed to form his profession.

 

Paul’s dedication to public service spanned a long time. Nation roads led him dwelling the place he started his profession with the Salem Volunteer Hearth Division. He then served with each Harrison County EMS and Marion County EMS. He labored as an ER Tech at United Hospital Middle, providing care and compassion to sufferers in instances of pressing want. Paul devoted 24 years to the Harrison County Bureau of Emergency Providers, the place he grew to become a trusted voice and a reliable presence in essential moments. He retired in 2024, abandoning a long-lasting influence.

 

He’s survived by his loving spouse and greatest buddy, Shelley Rasmussen, and their kids: Aidan Paul Rasmussen; Scott Thomas Vinson and his spouse Mindy of Clarksburg, WV; Sean Patrick Vinson of Clarksburg, WV; and Kelley Ann Troeh and her husband Steve of Santee, California.

 

Paul was a faithful grandfather to Sarina Troeh, Sophia Vinson, Olivia Vinson, Timothy Troeh, Amelia Vinson, Brendon Vinson, Oliver Vinson, Lucas Vinson, and Lorenzo Vinson. He was additionally joyfully awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild this August.

 

As well as, Paul is survived by his mom, Viola Hardman; his stepbrothers, Danny Hardman, Donnie Hardman, and Stanley Hardman; his stepsister, Diana Davis; and several other beloved nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in loss of life by his father, Carlo Rasmussen; his stepfather, Fred Hardman; and his sister, Carla Rasmussen.

 

Paul discovered the Lord whereas sitting along with his buddy Eric in a 1967 Cougar within the parking zone of First Baptist Church of Lodi, a second that without end modified his coronary heart and his life. He grew to become actively concerned in youth ministry there, sharing his coronary heart, humor, and encouragement with the subsequent technology.

 

Paul beloved vehicles, rock and roll music, touring, and cheering on the Mountaineers and the Steelers. He was identified for his good-natured sensible jokes, a playful spirit that mirrored his perception that life was meant to be filled with laughter, journey, and love.

 

He will likely be remembered for his selfless spirit, his deep love for his household, and his unwavering dedication to serving to others. His legacy lives on by means of the numerous lives he touched, each professionally and personally.
