Speaker Mike Johnson on Saturday prolonged an invite for President Donald Trump to handle a joint session of Congress on March 4, the primary in Trump’s second presidency.

In a letter to the president, Johnson invited Trump to “share your America First vision for our legislative future,” thanking him for his “strong leadership and bold action” within the first days of his presidency and asserting that “America’s Golden Age has begun.”

“Your administration and the 119th Congress working together have the chance to make these next four years some of the most consequential in our nation’s history,” Johnson wrote.

The speech will not be technically thought of a State of the Union, however presidents since Ronald Reagan have delivered related addresses shortly after their inaugurations which were dealt with with related pomp and circumstance.

The White Home has but to formally settle for the invitation, although Trump is predicted to substantiate his March 4 tackle.
