The music world grieved when Jim Morrison handed away in 1971 on the age of 27.

However in response to a brand new documentary, the legendary Doorways singer is alive and properly and residing in Syracuse, New York.

Sure, there have lengthy been rumors that Morrison faked his dying. And now, one filmmaker claims to have situated the rock icon.

Jim Morrison is working as a handyman in Syracuse, says Jeff Finn

The AppleTV documentary Earlier than the Finish has been streaming since January, however the movie simply went viral over the weekend because of some outrageous claims.

Based on filmmaker Jeff Finn, after faking his personal dying, Morrison has spent the previous 54 years hiding out in Upstate New York.

(Which, to be honest, can be a fairly good place to fly below the radar, if one had been so inclined.)

“Not only does [Finn] believe Morrison is alive and well, he also set out to prove that he is working as a maintenance man called Frank in Syracuse, New York,” the Each day Mail writes of the scandalous doc.

“‘Proof’ Emerges The Doors Wildman Jim Morrison FAKED His Death — And is Alive and Well at 79 Working as a Maintenance Man in Syracuse, New York,” reads a headline from Radar On-line.

It’s an interesting concept — the notion that Morrison burned out on fame and determined to create a brand new life for himself is clearly far more fascinating than the thought that he succumbed to a battle with habit on the age of 27.

However sadly, Finn’s proof is fairly flimsy. Principally, Frank X. appears to be like like Jim Morrison — a lot in order that two of the singer’s ex-girlfriends teared up once they had been proven pictures of him.

However whereas that kind of “proof” may be emotionally compelling, it’s not sufficient to persuade most individuals that the Lizard King may be noticed sitting courtside at an Orangemen basketball recreation.

“These kinds of documentaries can be so convincing but usually have lots of issues,” Syracuse College media research professor Robert Thompson instructed syracuse.com this week.

“I’ve seen 10 people in the last two days that look pretty much like Frank X….and therefore, I guess, what Morrison would look like as an old guy.”

“That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time,” echoed native live performance promoter Chuck Chao. “I think I’ll go out now and tell people Jim Morrison is my neighbor.”

Rumors that Morrison remains to be on the market have been circulating just about nonstop because the time of the rock legend’s passing.

However sadly, it appears to be like as if there’s no compelling cause to revoke his membership within the 27 Membership.
