Israelis are once more protesting Netanyahu, with a common strike deliberate—but the nation’s largest commerce union stays uninvolved. Political analyst Dr. Ori Goldberg notes these protests echo previous years, missing institutional assist and avoiding criticism of the warfare or alleged ethnic cleaning. He frames them as a home political wrestle, not an ethical reckoning. “As long as protesters don’t reject Netanyahu’s policies outright,” he warns, “they effectively endorse them—and Netanyahu knows it, which is why he allows the protests.” Regardless of widespread discontent, Goldberg stresses Netanyahu stays the strongest contender if snap elections are held.
