NEW DELHI: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has responded strongly to Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s anti-India statements, declaring that India will “hunt down terror” following the current terrorist assault in Pahalgam. Responding to Bhutto Zardari’s feedback after the Pahalgam terrorist assault, Sarma referenced a video clip pointing to Pakistan’s violent historical past, which price Bilawal his grandfather and mom. “Pakistan has a long and bloody history of betrayal — it claimed the lives of Bilawal Bhutto’s grandfather and mother. It is tragic that an unworthy son today chooses to dishonor their sacrifice. India’s Secretary of Water Assets, Debashree Mukherjee, knowledgeable her Pakistani counterpart, Syed Ali Murtaza, that Pakistan’s ongoing cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir violates India’s rights beneath the treaty.This comes after terrorist assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam claimed the lives of 26 folks. The Cupboard Committee on Safety (CCS), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, convened to handle the gravity of the assault. Following deliberations, the committee reached a major determination relating to the Indus Water Treaty of 1960. The treaty can be suspended with rapid impact and shall stay so till Pakistan “credibly and irrevocably abjures its support for cross-border terrorism,” introduced India.
