Rushanara Ali has resigned as homelessness minister after stories emerged she issued her tenants a discover to depart as her east London property was being offered.

The MP for Bethnal Inexperienced and Stepney stated she took the choice with a “heavy heart.”

In an open letter to the Prime Minister, she stated that remaining within the position could be “a distraction from the ambitious work of this Government.”

She instructed the Prime Minister in a letter: “It has been the honour of my life to have played my part in first securing and then serving as part of this Labour Government. You have my continued commitment, loyalty and support.”

The MP for Bethnal Inexperienced and Stepney has resigned

Ali’s property, close to the London Stadium in Stratford was then re-listed with a £700 hire improve inside weeks.

The home, rented on a fixed-term contract, was put up on the market whereas the tenants have been residing there, and it was solely re-listed as a rental as a result of it had not offered.
