Harrison County Lady who Spent Many years Serving as Elementary Instructor, Margaret Martin, Passes

Margaret Suzanne Martin, born March 14, 1949 to Robert “Lefty” and Alvenia “Venie” Hutchinson in Shinnston, West Virginia.

She was Ms. Spartan and graduate of Shinnston Excessive Faculty, Class of ’67. She went on to attend Alderson Broadus Baptist Faculty from ’67-’69.

She married Melvin “Mel” Martin, son of Charles “Buck” and Blanche Martin of Terra Alta, WV, on August 23, 1969.

She graduated in ’71 with a Bachelor of Arts diploma from the College of Louisville, Kentucky. Upon commencement she labored briefly as a Social Employee. She continued her schooling whereas residing in Germany and elevating her three kids, to acquire a Masters Diploma from the College of Maryland.

The vast majority of her grownup life, she graciously accompanied her husband as they served our nation within the US Air Pressure for twenty-four years.

Along with being a loving spouse and devoted mom, she was a devoted servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a optimistic and inspiring presence to household and mates and touched loads of little lives, educating elementary faculty for practically 25 yrs. She taught in each public and Christian faculties in Louisiana, Mississippi, Maryland, and Virginia, and was a substitute in West Virginia.

She loved taking part in the piano, visiting with mates, and studying.

She was preceded in demise by her Father and Mom.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Melvin Martin; their son and daughter-in-law: Philip and Angie Martin of Bridgeport; daughter and son-in-law: Melanie and Victor Anton of Clarksburg; and son Nathan Martin of Shinnston. She can be survived by her grandchildren: Justin Martin of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Katie Martin (& fiance David Giddens) of Huntsville, Alabama; Deanna Anton of Bentonville, Arkansas; David Anton (& his spouse Arianna Tuffariello) of Suffolk, Virginia; Steven Anton of Shinnston, and Victoria and Natalie Anton of Clarksburg.

She was blessed to have influenced two great-grandchildren as nicely: Angelina Weiser and Oaklyn Anton.

She can be survived by many extra household and mates that love her dearly and can treasure her reminiscence.

The household will obtain mates on the Perine Funeral House, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 2-8pm, Thursday, the place funeral companies will probably be held at 11am, Friday, November 21, with Pastors Todd Jarmon and Fred Hawkins officiating. Entombment will probably be within the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum. Condolences could also be prolonged to the household at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral House is honored to serve the Martin household.
