Election Day is approaching, and a few states have declared the date to be a public vacation, whereas others have mandated that employers should present paid day off for voting.

As an example, in New York state, workers are eligible for as much as two hours of paid day off within the occasion that they don’t seem to be given “sufficient time to vote,” in line with the New York State Board of Elections. That is described as 4 consecutive hours to vote both from when the polls open to the start of their shift, or 4 consecutive hours between the tip of their shift and when the polls shut.
