For Prince Harry and Meghan, Tensions Linger in Royal Family After Queen’s Death

Earlier this week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were invited to a dinner to be held Sunday at Buckingham Palace for heads of state visiting for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

Then on Thursday, the Palace updated the invitation, saying the dinner would be open to working royals only, according to a person familiar with the matter. That appeared to disqualify Harry and Meghan, given they quit their royal duties in 2020 and moved to Southern California to start a media business.
