Republican Senate candidate Eric Hovde mentioned Sunday that he feels “really good” about his race towards Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.).

“And if I can win then, you know, it will change the control of the U.S. Senate, not just for the next two years, but potentially the next four,” Hovde added.

Baldwin is at present forward of Hovde by 4.2 share factors, in line with a Wisconsin ballot common from The Hill/Resolution Desk HQ.

Hovde mentioned in his Sunday interview that “in some polls, it shows that I’ve been a point above Donald Trump.”

The race between Hovde and Baldwin is one of some key Senate races Democrats and Republicans are tangling over this yr, with Democrats wanting to take care of their maintain on the higher chamber and Republicans eager to reclaim it.

A Marquette College Legislation College ballot launched Wednesday discovered Baldwin forward of Hovde by 7 factors, garnering 53 % from registered and certain voters to Hovde’s 46 %.
