Dwelling Depot deferred remark to the Division of Homeland Safety (DHS). DHS didn’t instantly reply to FOX Enterprise request for remark.

Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell mentioned Sunday that the division doesn’t coordinate with federal immigration officers however can’t stop immigration enforcement operations, both. 

“We don’t engage in that activity,” he added, referring to immigration enforcement operations. “But again, we can’t preclude them from doing that.”

McDonnell urged the folks in the neighborhood “to trust the LAPD.”

“We’ll continue to support peaceful protests and enforce the law when criminal acts occur,” he mentioned. “The LAPD remains focused on its core mission to protect lives, safeguard constitutional rights, and serve every neighborhood in Los Angeles with integrity.”
