Conway police investigating capturing at UCA

CONWAY, Ark. — The Conway Police Division is investigating a capturing that occurred on the College of Central Arkansas (UCA) early Saturday morning. 

Officers stated the capturing occurred at a car parking zone close to Donaghey Avenue and Bruce Avenue at roughly 1:08 a.m.

In keeping with a press release made by UCA, a pupil who was additionally a bystander sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was despatched to an area hospital for remedy. As of 5 a.m., they have been launched from the hospital in secure situation.

Police have a suspect in custody in reference to the incident. 

UCA launched a press release concerning the incident and stated, “We work daily to provide a safe and accessible campus for our students, faculty, staff, and constituents. It takes all of us working together to make this happen.”
