China imposed tariffs on some U.S. imports early Tuesday morning in response to new tariffs President Donald Trump positioned on Chinese language items starting shortly after midnight.

Trump had signed an govt order authorizing a ten% further tariff on imports from China. 

The order additionally included a 25% further tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, and an extra 10% tax on power imported from Canada, together with oil, pure fuel and electrical energy. The president has since agreed to a 30-day pause on the tariffs on Mexico and Canada.
