The variety of reported fowl strikes within the U.S. has been steadily rising, in accordance with the FAA, which maintains a database that data collisions between plane and wildlife. It attributes the rise to a number of variables, together with rising wildlife populations, a rise in aviation site visitors, and a pattern in the direction of quieter plane.
In 2023, about 19,400 fowl strikes have been reported at 713 U.S. airports, the FAA says.
