Evan “Stumpie” Bice, 81, of Bridgeport, handed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at United Hospital Middle following an prolonged sickness. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on Might 27, 1944, the one youngster of the late Claire Evan Bice and Justine Stump Bice.
He’s survived by his loving and devoted spouse, Nancy Gum Bice, whom he married on June 7, 1970. Additionally surviving are his daughter, Heather Bice Randolph, and her husband, Mark and his grandson, Tyler Evan Randolph. He leaves behind a number of cousins, cherished associates, and his
particular caregiver, Nikki Cottrill.
He was a member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church and the Clarksburg Lions Membership. Stumpie devoted numerous hours of providers because the Lions Membership’s Sight and Listening to Coordinator. In recognition of his service, he was honored with the Leonard Jarrett Award, the Melvin Jones Fellow, and the Evan Hugus Award.
Stumpie was identified for his full of life spirit and humorousness that brightened any room. Although he was usually ornery, it was a part of what made him so beloved – his candid nature and fast wit had been as endearing as they had been unforgettable.

Mates can be acquired at Burnside Funeral House, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday from 3 – 7 p.m., the place funeral providers can be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, with Reverend Dr. Sean Wegener presiding. Interment will comply with in Bridgeport Cemetery.
