Aryna Sabalenka defeats Amanda Anisimova, profitable 2nd straight U.S. Open closing

Aryna Sabalenka has gained her fourth Grand Slam title general and second straight on the U.S. Open after defeating Amanda Anisimova in the ladies’s closing on Saturday.

The 27-year-old from Belarus is the primary lady since Serena Williams in 2012-14 to win consecutive trophies on the U.S. Open.

No. 1-seeded Sabalenka took the primary set towards Anisimova 6-3. She practically repeated the primary set for the second set however Anisimova, a 24-year-old New Jersey native, put up a combat and pushed Sabalenka to interrupt a 6-6 tie.

The Belarusian held a commanding lead and was first to hit the 7-point tiebreaker, profitable her the title.
