Amazon staff in North Carolina have voted in opposition to a proposal to unionize, a win for the retail big in its combat in opposition to organized labor at its amenities.

About 4,300 workers at an Amazon achievement middle in Garner, a suburb of Raleigh, had been eligible to solid ballots in final week’s voting to resolve whether or not to affix a grassroots labor group known as Carolina Amazonians United for Solidarity and Empowerment, the Nationwide Labor Relations Board stated.

The federal labor company stated 2,447 staff voted in opposition to unionizing whereas 829 voted in favor of becoming a member of the union.
