Alaska Airways confronted a “significant IT outage” on Sunday that briefly disrupted the airways’ operations.
“We are currently experiencing a significant IT outage, our IT teams are working to fix the issues as quickly as possible,” the service responded to a buyer on X, who posted on Sunday that the airline’s web site and app had been each down.
Alaska responded to a different pissed off passenger on X saying the difficulty “significantly impacted operations.”

This comes because the airport is already attempting to get better from final month’s cybersecurity assault. That assault, which occurred on the finish of August, led to a sequence of flight disruptions on the airport, which is a principal hub for Alaska.

Earlier this month, the Port of Seattle, which operates the airport, stated the prison group, often called Rhysida, demanded a ransom for paperwork it stole in the course of the cyberattack and allegedly posted on the darkish internet.

The Port of Seattle stated it refused to pay the ransom. Nevertheless, the port stated its employees has been working across the clock to make sure that its “partners and travelers who use our gateways safely and securely reach their destinations and utilize our facilities.”

The port stated it’s also working with forensics specialists and actively supporting legislation enforcement’s investigation of the attacker.

Port employees and volunteers have put in “countless hours” to mitigate the affect of the incident, officers stated.
