After asking for positivity, Musk goes again to being a menace

Bear in mind when the appropriate used to name the left “snowflakes?” Properly, that should’ve been earlier than Elon Musk got here into the image.

It didn’t take lengthy for the world’s richest man to get again to his hateful roots after calling for “positivity.”

In response to a publish on X on Sunday from a pupil who accused the billionaire of “the largest spreader of disinformation in human history” and “hijacking political debates,” Musk’s response was predictably offensive.

As an alternative of a nuanced reply or a diplomatic counterpoint—and even simply ignoring the publish altogether—Musk hit again with a hostile, derogatory remark: “F u retard.”

This comes only a week after Musk known as for “more positive, beautiful, or informative content on this platform” in a publish on X, making his newest remark really feel like a jarring about-face as a result of somebody harm his emotions.

The distinction was stark.

One second, Musk was urging for civility, and the following, he was lobbing insults that the majority would think about each offensive and unbecoming of somebody in his place. However, as we’ve discovered, nothing is simply too low for the cult of MAGA.

Amid Musk’s feud over the H-1B visa program with far-right nationalists like Laura Loomer and Steve Bannon, Musk discovered himself in scorching water after deleting a publish on X wherein he appeared to endorse a consumer’s remark claiming that Individuals are too “retarded” to be thought of for extremely expert tech jobs.

The remark was extensively denounced for its ableism, and Musk’s choice to delete the publish didn’t cease the backlash, which solely appeared to gas extra criticism of his strategy to those delicate points.

The person who has requested that individuals deal with him with extra positivity appears to have little drawback reverting to name-calling and inflammatory remarks when his temper fits him.

As Musk’s affect as Donald Trump’s co-president continues to develop, his tendency to impress and alienate appears to as effectively.

Musk’s current actions recommend that “positivity” is a considerably shallow idea—one that may be discarded when the goal is on his again, or when his offender is simple sufficient to assault.
