Conflict throughout Muharram procession: Prohibitory Orders imposed in Jharkhand’s Palhe village

“Prohibitory Orders were imposed in a village in Jharkhand’s Palamu district on Monday (July 7, 2025) following a clash between two groups during Muharram procession,” an official mentioned.

Not less than three individuals have been injured within the conflict that befell in Palhe village within the Patan police station space on Sunday night.

“Prohibitory Orders under Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, earlier Section 144 of CrPC, have been imposed for 48 hours from 6 a.m. on Monday (July 7, 2025) in the village as a precautionary measure,” Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sameera S instructed PTI.

She mentioned the individuals concerned within the incident are being recognized and statements of the injured are being recorded. The peace committee is working within the space to calm the state of affairs.
