PALO ALTO — Police are investigating a strong-armed theft through which a person forcibly stole a girl’s purse and necklaces in a car parking zone Thursday afternoon, authorities mentioned.

The suspect, who the sufferer described as being a Hispanic man with a skinny construct and quick black hair, remained at giant Friday morning, in line with a press launch from the Palo Alto Police Division. He was reportedly sporting blue shorts and a blue shirt.

Round 2:30 p.m. Thursday, a girl known as to report a theft, authorities mentioned. When officers arrived on scene, they have been unable to find the suspect.

Within the investigation, they discovered that the sufferer, a girl in her 40s, had been strolling via a car parking zone together with her toddler when the suspect grabbed her neck from behind, authorities mentioned. He demanded that she hand over her purse, then forcibly took each her purse and her necklaces. The suspect allegedly pushed the sufferer to the bottom earlier than fleeing.

The incident occurred on the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue, not removed from Metropolis Corridor, authorities added. The sufferer didn’t report seeing the suspect have a weapon.

The sufferer suffered minor accidents and described ache in her knee and neck, police mentioned. The toddler was not bodily injured.
