Verizon Communications on Friday mentioned that it is ending its range, fairness and inclusion (DEI) applications amid a probe by the Trump administration into these practices, because the telecom big seeks federal approval for an acquisition.

“Verizon recognizes that some DEI policies and practices could be associated with discrimination,” Verizon Chief Authorized Officer Vandana Venkatesh mentioned within the letter, including that the modifications would instantly take impact.

The telecom supplier mentioned the deal will enhance its scale by 2.2 million fiber subscribers, broadening Verizon’s attain to 25 million premises in 31 states plus Washington, D.C.
