LOS ANGELES – The person who killed the son of a former Oakland metropolis council member whereas he was a pupil on the College of Southern California in 2019 was sentenced to 35 years to life in jail on Monday, in keeping with the Los Angeles County District Legal professional’s Workplace.

Ivan Hernandez, 29, pleaded no contest in January to first-degree homicide within the killing of 21-year-old Victor McElhaney in a botched theft.
