Police investigating October demise of toddler in northern Ontario

Provincial police say its legal investigation department is now wanting into the demise of an toddler in northern Ontario final fall.

Manitoulin OPP say officers responded to a report of an unresponsive toddler at a house in Burpee Township on the morning of Oct. 1.

They are saying the toddler was pronounced lifeless at an area hospital.

Police say after forensic testing, the Manitoulin OPP Crime Unit is now conducting an investigation in conjunction with the coroner’s workplace.
