Lady arrested on suspicion of hate crime in Palo Alto

PALO ALTO — A 50-year-old Palo Alto girl was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of spitting on a person whereas shouting a racial epithet at him, in line with authorities.

Police mentioned an investigation revealed the person had been sitting within the plaza when the lady approached him and with out provocation spat on him whereas yelling a racial epithet directed at Black folks.

The person, fearing for his security, left the plaza as the lady continued to shout, police mentioned.

Officers discovered a suspect a brief distance away and detained her with out incident.

When she noticed the person close by, she resumed yelling racial epithets at him, police mentioned.

The girl was booked into Santa Clara County jail on misdemeanor prices of disturbing the peace, battery and committing a hate crime, in addition to a warrant for vandalism.
