A sold-out crowd watched from shore as Spain SailGP staff defeated Canada and France to win the Rolex SailGP Championship in San Francisco on Sunday.

The ultimate adopted the seventh fleet race, during which Australia suffered a sudden wing collapse because it approached the beginning line. SailGP confirmed that each one athletes have been accounted for and unhurt, however the reason for the incident isn’t but recognized.

France made the ultimate as a result of injury onboard Australia’s F50 catamaran, which dominated them out in collaborating within the remaining three-boat race.

The Oracle San Francisco Sail Grand Prix is the second race in back-to-back occasion weekends to kick off the U.S. slate of occasions for 2025.

Boats from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Emirates Nice Britain, France, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA will compete.

To realize these high speeds, the F50’s hydrofoils elevate the boat out of the water to cut back drag, and use a vertically-mounted airplane wing as a sail. Every boat has a crew of 5 members, consisting of a helmsman, wing-trimmer, flight controller and two grinders.
