Trasna acquires u-blox IoT modules

u-blox, a world chief in positioning and short-range communication applied sciences, has introduced the switch of its mobile IoT module enterprise to Trasna, a number one semiconductor and IoT options supplier.

This strategic transfer reinforces u-blox’s concentrate on its core find enterprise whereas enabling Trasna to strengthen its IoT connectivity chip-to-cloud providing within the OEM sector.

The acquisition consists of u-blox’s mobile module expertise mental property (IP), workforce, websites, and product portfolio, with Trasna committing to retain all workers, prospects, and operations. This strengthens

Trasna’s place as a complete mobile IoT options supplier, providing end-to-end capabilities spanning semiconductor chip design, SIM and eSIM manufacturing, and cloud-based distant SIM and machine administration providers.

The mobile IoT market, projected by IoT Analytics to develop at a compound annual development fee (CAGR) of 15% till 2030, presents a considerable alternative for Trasna. The deal considerably enhances Trasna’s market attain, significantly within the metering, medical, and industrial IoT sectors, leveraging u-blox’s established relationships with OEMs and its world distribution community.

For u-blox, this divestment represents a strategic shift to concentrate on its high-growth positioning (GNSS) enterprise, reinforcing its management available in the market and delivering enhanced worth to prospects and shareholders.
