Mumbai:

American EV maker Tesla has rented a 4,000-sq ft house within the Bandra Kurla Advanced enterprise district to deal with its maiden showroom within the nation, it was revealed on Wednesday.

The corporate, promoted by billionaire Elon Musk, can be paying a lease of over Rs 35 lakh per 30 days for the house which comes with some parking heaps as nicely, as per paperwork shared by CRE Matrix.

The launch of Tesla is a keenly awaited one and could be a precursor to the pioneering auto firm’s eventual plans to fabricate or assemble in India.

The lease for the house in Maker Maxity is for a interval of 5 years and the month-to-month rental will go as much as almost Rs 43 lakh a month with a 5 per cent lease escalation per 12 months, as per the paperwork.

The property on the bottom ground is situated very near India’s first Apple Retailer, and has been leased from Univco Properties.

A rental settlement was registered between Univco and certainly one of Tesla’s arms having its workplaces in Pune on February 27.

The month-to-month lease per sq. toes works out to Rs 881 on the beginning rental, and a safety deposit of Rs 2.11 crore has been paid, the paperwork mentioned.
