An organization employed to restore the LaSalle Causeway bridge in Kingston, Ont., is suing the federal authorities and an engineering agency for greater than $8 million, claiming it was wrongly blamed for the bridge’s structural failure.

The corporate additionally alleges that Sigma Threat Administration Inc., the engineering agency employed to evaluate the incident, negligently misinterpreted the reason for the failure, concluding that LCI deviated from the required process when it had, actually, adopted the government-approved plan.

In response to the lawsuit, PSPC terminated LCI’s contract, withheld funds and shared incorrect details about its function within the failure with third events.
