OAKLAND — An individual was arrested Monday on suspicion of taking pictures up an occupied police car in what authorities say “may” have been an try to harm or kill the officer.

The officer was unhurt, however the car was struck a number of occasions, police stated.

The suspect was arrested Monday afternoon. The taking pictures occurred about half-hour after midnight, on the 6000 block of Seminary Avenue in East Oakland.

Police haven’t launched the suspect’s title, gender, or age. In addition they haven’t recognized the officer by title or gender.

Authorities say the officer was in his or her automotive, investigating one other incident, then heard gunfire and realized the car was being struck by bullets. The officer wasn’t injured.
