Palo Alto resident interrupts housebreaking at his house

Palo Alto resident interrupts housebreaking at his house

PALO ALTO – A person interrupted a housebreaking at his house over the weekend in Palo Alto, in keeping with authorities.

Police mentioned the resident – recognized as a person in his 20s – was awake in an upstairs bed room when he noticed a flashlight beam within the hallway and the door of the room start to open.

The resident then heard a male voice shout “run,” adopted by the sounds of footsteps taking place the steps and exiting the house, police mentioned.

An investigation revealed the suspects had entered the residence by smashing a rear sliding glass door, police mentioned. The suspects arrived and left in a black sport utility automobile.

Nothing appeared to have been taken from the house, police mentioned.

An investigation is underway into the housebreaking. Police mentioned no comparable crimes have occurred in Palo Alto lately.
