The Chhattisgarh police on Saturday (January 18, 2025) mentioned that 18 Maoists — not 12, as initially introduced — had been killed within the South Bastar operation earlier this week, attributing the replace to a press launch wherein the Maoists themselves conceded shedding extra members.
