Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth (Unwell.) mentioned Sunday she “looks forward” to listening to what Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has to say about his new nomination after being picked as President-elect Trump’s selection for Secretary of State.

Duckworth joined CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, the place host Dana Bash questioned her about Trump’s controversial Cupboard picks. Because the president-elect rolls out his nominations, Rubio, who was as soon as at odds with Trump, was tapped for the highest place.

“I look forward to talking to him. You know, Marco Rubio, you have strange bedfellows, and you have strange alliances,” she mentioned.

Duckworth mentioned when she was pushing for an effort to get permission to deliver her daughter onto the Senate ground, Rubio got here as much as her and mentioned he would again her “every step of the way” as a result of he wished he may deliver his children on the ground.

“So, we have a friendship,” Duckworth mentioned. “We’ve served together. I look forward to talking to him to see what he’s going to do or what his policies are.”
