Over 10% of South Korea’s workforce is now robotic, survey finds

Barely over 10% of South Korea’s workforce has been changed with robots, an annual survey by World Robotics 2024 discovered.

The report, which was introduced by the Worldwide Federation of Robotics (IFR), discovered that robotics has continued on an upward development globally.

South Korea led the transition to a robotic workforce, with the Asian nation having 1,012 robots per 10,000 staff. 

The nation has elevated its use of robots by 5% every year since 2018, the IFR discovered.

Singapore got here in second with 770 robots per 10,000 staff, the group discovered.

China, with 470 robots per 10,000 staff, has overtaken Germany and Japan, and landed in third place behind Singapore.

Germany got here in fourth place with 429 robots per 10,000 staff, adopted by Japan with 419 items per 10,000 staff.

The US ranked tenth with 295 robots per 10,000 staff.

Robotic density by area

The IFR discovered that the European Union has a robotic density of 219 items per 10,000 staff, a rise of 5.2% from earlier years.

Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Slovenia led the rise in robotic adoption, with the international locations touchdown within the international prime ten.

North America’s robotic density is 197 items per 10,000 staff – up 4.2%, the IFR discovered. 

Asia has a robotic density of 182 items per 10,000 individuals employed in manufacturing – a rise of seven.6%, the IFR discovered.
